Florida Peer Experience Certified Recovery Peer Specialist Training: 5 Days M-F Virtual

REGISTRATION OPENS JUNE 18th at 7am

The Peer Experience Certified Recovery Peer Specialist Training covers the Florida Certification Board’s learning domains and applies to both mental health and substance use Peer Specialists. This training will satisfy training requirements for those who wish to submit an application for certification through the Florida Certification Board. The training itself does not certify you or satisfy the state exam, rather it fulfills the required content training that is needed to apply to the board. This training requires role plays and practice sessions. The training will be conducted via Zoom. Participants must have a working video and keep their camera enabled throughout the training. Breakout rooms will be utilized. Participation is required.

Qualified applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a minimum education of a GED/HS Diploma or higher (you will need to locate your certificate later to upload to your application with the Florida Certification Board when you are ready to take the exam). Applicants must also have a minimum of 2 years in recovery before taking this course.

Participants must not be on-the-job, multitasking or caring for children while taking this course. The participant must be in a room free of other individuals and free of other disturbances. Participants should make arrangements for all other responsibilities throughout this course and are expected to arrive on time and stay until the end of the day each day of training.

We cannot accept applicants who are already certified as a CRPS or have already taken the required CRPS training.

Those who have received training in another state should call the Florida Certification Board at 850-222-6314 to see if your training will transfer.
